HOME MADE TURBOCOR TESTING TOOL

If you have been endowered with big hands with banana fingers, getting to the Turbocor Compressor Bearing and Sensor Terminals can be ridiculously hard. A new Home Made Turbocor Testing Tool is required.

Using a failed PWM Bearing Card, we recycled the Bearing Power plug and cable. A bit of pin-out checking and soldering and we are good to go. Ordered a 9 Pin D-Plug to Terminal converter from RS Components to complete the kit. So, the Power Lead connects to the RS Components Converter to measure the Bearing Winding Resistances all mice and easy. Using the RS232 9 pin standard communication lead we use to talk to the Turbocor, we connect the Bearing Sensor Plug to the RS Components Converter to measure the Sensor Resistances; even the RS Converter Terminal Numbering tellies up. You can also use this lead to assist by extending the Bearing Winding Terminals access if needed. No more grovelling around with a multi-meter in one hand trying to hit the correct pins on the Turbocor Compressor with the other; the Home Made Turbocor Testing Tool, your welcome.
